Leap Year: What Is It You Plan To Do?

There’s a quote from a Mary Oliver poem I came across several weeks ago, and I can’t get it out of my head.

Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?

Today is Leap Day, an extra 24 hours we get the privilege of enjoying only once every 4 years. Yeah, it’s a Wednesday. And yeah, it probably feels like any other non-leap-year day. But I challenge you to find some way to celebrate this extra day, because when your one wild and precious life is boiled down to the days, hours, and minutes you have in it, it’s worth finding any opportunity to celebrate. Carpe the hell out of this leap day!
