In a perfect world, I’d be one of those people who could get up early and get a workout in in the morning – but we all know the world isn’t perfect. A little lightbulb did go off though as I read this article: Early Bird Gets the Burn | Women’s Health Magazine. “If you work out be fore your day distracts you, your chances of exercising regularly go way up,” says Cedric Bryant, Ph.D., chief science officer of the American Council on Exercise. The article offers quick workout moves you can do in the comfort (and this time of year, warmth) of your own home. Not to mention I have a Wii Fit that collects more dust than I’d like to admit, so why not wake up 15 minutes early a couple days a week and get my hula-hoop on? For a gal who likes her beauty rest, this idea doesn’t seem totally unreasonable. Goal for this week: dust off the balance board and try a morning workout. Stay tuned.
