In the spring of 1939 and a looming war with Germany of everyone’s mind, The British Government’s Ministry of Information commissioned a series of propaganda posters to be distributed throughout the country upon the outbreak of war. The posters were initially printed to send a soothing message from King George VI to reassure his people that all capable measures to defend the country were being taken.
I love that this simple message still carries modern day implications given our fast paced, crazy society. It’s a daily reminder to take a deep breath – King George has got it under control! I can’t wait to find the perfect spot for it in my home.
